Dark mode inverts colors in many clients. Design signatures that stay readable.
Apple Mail and some Android clients invert light backgrounds in dark mode. White logo backgrounds become gray boxes; light gray text disappears.
Dark-mode safe patterns
- PNG logos with transparent background
- Avoid light-gray text (#ccc on white)
- Do not rely on background-color alone for contrast
- Test in iOS Mail dark appearance
- Prefer dark text on transparent or white cells
